VIASYS VDC OY (herein referred to as “Viasys”, “we”, “our” or “us”) respects your right to privacy and is committed to complying with the applicable data protection and privacy laws. We aim to be transparent at all times about our treatment of your personal data. This privacy policy (“Policy”) covers how and for what purpose we collect, use, store, disclose and transfer your personal data, so please read it carefully. “Personal data” in the context of Policy refers to any and all information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.

“Viasys” (also “we”, “our” or “us”) refers to all companies belonging to the same group with Viasys VDC Oy from time to time, including the globally operating Topcon Positioning Group. However, any or all of the Viasys companies may also have their own privacy policies that apply to their own processing activities. This Policy applies to personal data we collect in connection with websites, newsletters, products and services offered by Viasys as well as personal data collected from other interactions you have with us. By continuing browsing our website, using our products or interacting with our services, you acknowledge and agree to the use of your personal data as explained in this Policy.


The personal data we collect depends on the circumstances and the product or service you are using. We typically collect your personal data directly from you when you subscribe to our newsletters, register into an event, order or purchase our products or services, or otherwise interact with us. • Marketing actions directed at you, as well as other actions taken for maintaining the customer relationship; and
• Consents and prohibitions concerning direct marketing.

Technical information:
• IP –address
• Information and IDs of your devices;
• Information on applied ad blockers;
• Information on the website you linked from;
• Ad banners and other information you viewed; and
• Other technical information and log data your browser provides us.

In addition to the above-mentioned personal data we obtain or collect from you, we may receive certain personal data from third parties (e.g. contact information updates from publicly available sources).

You must only provide us such personal data that is your own. If you provide any personal data about other individuals than yourself, you must ensure that you: (i) have their permission to provide their personal data to us; and (ii) have made them aware of the terms of this Policy.


We process your personal data for different purposes, some of which may apply simultaneously. We primarily process and use your personal data in order to provide you the products and services you have requested, process your orders, fulfill your other requests concerning our products or services and for other actions necessary for the performance of your contract with us. We may also share anonymized information publicly, e.g. statistics about the general use of our website, products and services.

Your personal data is primarily stored and processed within the EU and the EEA. However, your personal data may in certain situations be transferred to countries outside the EU and the EEA, where the level of data protection may not have been deemed sufficient by the EU Commission (such as the United States of America). This may be the case e.g. where your personal data is shared or disclosed within Viasys group companies or where the servers we use are located outside the EU or EEA.

When your personal data is no longer needed for the purpose in question, we will permanently destroy or anonymize your personal data, unless otherwise required under applicable laws.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the local supervisory authority responsible for data protection matters, if you e.g. consider that our processing of your personal data is not in accordance with the applicable laws or that the realization of your rights has not been sufficiently guaranteed.
